THE METRO TRANSIT STUDY WORKING GROUP
The process of envisioning the future of RIPTA and transit in Rhode Island is an unprecedented undertaking. In order to provide a wide range of input from a variety of perspectives, a coalition of state agencies, local municipalities, businesses, major institutions and community groups has been convened to guide the study and to provide meaningful stakeholder input.
The Metro Transit Study Working Group will help RIPTA review assumptions, ideas, and proposals for future transit development, building upon the work of Transit 2020 and the recommendations outlined in Growing Smart with Transit. The Working Group will meet approximately every six weeks over the course of the study to provide feedback and to help evaluate alternative proposals for future transit development.
